R&D Technician


Mission

To coordinate and carry out the development of new products, including stability studies and activities related to their formulation, validation, and launch.

Responsabilities

  • Take samples of raw materials and finished products, and perform stability tests.
  • Understand and apply internal procedures for the development of new products, assist in production trials, and provide support for launches.
  • Perform physicochemical, microbiological, and organoleptic analytical tests according to current methods.
  • Verify that laboratory equipment and materials are in optimal condition (clean, calibrated, in good repair, and verified).
  • Prepare, label, handle, and store reagents according to test requirements and safety measures.
  • Properly classify, preserve, and identify samples, ensuring that all samples prepared for internal and external evaluations are safe for consumption and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Correctly complete and file technical documentation (Laboratory Sheets, Bulletins, Certificates of Analysis, etc.).
  • Communicate and document any deviation from established specifications or norms, coordinating with other departments to ensure correct technical product documentation.
  • Timely notify material and reagent needs to avoid stockouts.
  • Perform maintenance and management of the sample library, and comply with laboratory safety regulations.
  • Organize and coordinate sensory evaluation panels to support product development and quality.

Requirements

  • Intermediate/Advanced Vocational Training in Laboratory Science.
  • English language proficiency and command of other languages is a plus.
  • Proficiency in office software and internet.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience in using scientific databases.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is a plus.
