Senior Purchasing Technician
Mission
Ensure the efficient and timely procurement of materials and products by managing supplier relationships, optimising costs, and ensuring compliance with deadlines and quality standards.
Responsabilities
- Oversee the complete purchasing process for raw materials and packaging, including identifying new requirements, evaluating alternatives, and negotiating with suppliers.
- Request and compare prices, maintain an up-to-date cost database, and conduct market studies and purchasing forecasts.
- Place purchase orders with suppliers and prepare necessary documentation for imports.
- Coordinate logistics for orders: manage transportation, customs clearance, delivery, and follow-up to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of both domestic and international purchases.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders and logistics companies to ensure an efficient supply chain.
- Handle supplier issues, address late or non-compliant deliveries, and seek effective solutions.
- Manage and file samples of raw materials and packaging for internal evaluation.
- Visit suppliers and attend industry trade fairs at both national and international levels.
Requirements
- University degree or Vocational Training in Business Administration or International Trade.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Valuable mastery of specific software for the position: Preactor and Mapex.
- English level C1. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet applications.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
